While visiting some friends in Los Angeles, CA last month we got together at Paco’s Tacos for dinner. I don’t think I’ve ever had homemade tortillas in my life before this. It was pretty amazing. I could have eaten them ALL day. Made on the spot, in the open, and just out of the way of the dining room. You can see the lady making them in the right hand side of the photo.
Here’s the collage of pics I took with my cell phone camera during supper:
“What does this have to do with records and sampling?” you might ask… (as the look on Chris’ face exclaims)
Good question. This guy in the middle here, Ian Henderson, inspired me to put more effort into the art of scratching and that very much has to do with records. At the time, it didn’t seem like I had an option.
This was the farewell dinner for Ian and Michelle’s trip and move to France. Best wishes and bisses…
… and if you’re in Los Angeles, hit up Paco’s and bring me back some home-made tortillas, please.
